The Museum

Among hundreds of objects from our ancestors,

Come and remember your past...

Until the end of 1971, La Remise was still a farm and a small café.

In the past, taverns were very common in Ardennes villages.

But long before that, the house was a coaching inn. Part of the gable, to the east, built in a candle shape, is the last witness and still attests to the antiquity of the construction.

In 1979, my father Edgard Grévisse became the owner of the place. After ten years of work, the museum "La Remise" opened its doors for the first time.

An impressive collection of agricultural equipment is exhibited there, and many objects bearing witness to the rural life of our ancestors are also gathered there.

In 1990, my father acquired a second building, opposite the museum.

Today, two guest rooms are furnished there with great taste and comfort.

In 1992, comic book artist Jean-Claude Servais created a drawing representing La Remise, subtly mixing two different eras.

An ideal place to savor an Orval in style.
